The Strength of God... What Is it?

where is the power of God seen? In the New Testament the power of God can be seen in the things that Jesus did and the miracles that He performed and the parables {Religious Allegory} earthly stories with Heavenly meanings. So, let's look at a few:

  • The story of the Fig tree in Matthew 21:19
  • The Small boy with the loaves & Fish Matthew 14:20
  • Faith As grain of mustard seed Matthew 13:32
  • Calming the Storm:   Mark 4:39
  • Water into wine John2:7
  • Rebuking The wind and the waves! Peace be still Matthew 8:26
  • As I put this together, I came across this quote: "I do not want to be weak, I’ll be strong".  If you have ever been the underdog and felt weak, the next statement may be hard to understand but as we dig into the word of God, we find truth and comfort. There is great strength in weakness, and I feel God says a great deal about this in the following scriptures. My Pastor, Mentor and friend Ernest Sikes said, " A person is the strongest when they are on their knees prostrate before the throne of God." I am sure he must have heard it somewhere, but it has been good to live by.
  • II Corinthians 1:27
  • II Corinthians 12:10
  • I Corinthians 1:27,28,29.

Be encouraged even in the valley God is there, you are never alone.

Blessings,

Pastor,
