Penetrating the Lostness

Go into ALL the world and Preach the Gospel, Baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

Sunday Morning, April 12 the title of the message is after the Resurrection: Now What? For a while now, God has been laying on my heart the following questions.

1- What am I doing to penetrate lostness?

2- What is the church doing to push back the darkness? I had to answer not nearly enough.

We as individuals, as well as corporately ( AS A CHURCH)  must have a burden for lost people. As I was finishing up my message, I got an Email alert from Tom Strolle that highlighted Ephesians 4:12  for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

The Email was inviting pastors to put a group together to attend an evangelism training event. The focus is on Next Generation groups. I am going to be encouraging our leadership to attend this training. As we see the world arround us, it is being impressed on me that we MUST, and I do mean MUST, be proactive in sharing our faith. When our Baptisms are outdone by our funerals, it bears a closer look. Since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there has been an uptick in students following Christ. We need revival! Revival is not a date or a series of meetings; it is something the church is to be about ALWAYS. What would happen in the life of First English if each person adopted the way of life, Each One Reach One? Do you have friends who are lost? Classmates, relatives? I would like to encourage you to sit down for a moment and make a list of people that you know who might be lost, then, in your prayer time, pray for them by name. Invite them to church, share with them what God did for you. Take a moment to write out your testimony of how you came to know Christ. Share that!

You think About That, Amen!

Blessings,

Warren
